Located on the first floor of HUTPARK Mochimune, right by Suruga Bay, Grateful's Hutpark Mochimune offers indulgent, handmade burgers packed with fresh ingredients. The restaurant has a tropical Hawaiian vibe, perfect for enjoying their delicious, hearty burgers with an ocean view!
"Grateful's" is a handmade burger shop renowned for its delicious morning-baked buns.
The Kobe-born burger shop "Grateful's" arrived at Mochimune Beach in June 2021. Based on the concept of an "escape from the daily routine", Grateful's offers a unique dining experience where guests can enjoy luxurious, handmade burgers while indulging in a special ambiance hard to find elsewhere.
Grateful's' biggest pride is its freshly baked buns, crafted each morning in-house. The buns are healthy, aromatic, and fluffy, enhancing the flavor of their burgers. The star of the burger, the patty, is hand-formed and cooked to order, without any fillers, bringing out the meat's natural flavor.
The shop's top recommendation is the Hawaiian Kona, featuring a slice of pineapple.
"Grateful's HUTPARK Mochimune" offers a total of 16 burger options!
If you're overwhelmed by the choices, check out the popular and recommended items.
The most popular among the costumers are the New York BLT, packed with a patty, bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and egg for a hearty bite and the American Cobb, with a patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and a creamy aurora sauce, is a favorite--perfect for avocado lovers!
The highlight burger recommended by owner Suzuki is the Hawaiian Kona. This burger features a base of patty, cheese, lettuce, and tomato, complemented by a warm pineapple that adds a tropical touch. Suzuki confidently suggests this burger, even for those who typically dislike warm pineapple. The balance of sweet and tangy pineapple with the hearty patty creates a fantastic combination!
For rice lovers, the loco moco is highly recommended! This dish features a 170g hamburger patty, larger than those used for burgers, ensuring plenty of volume. The rice-based dish menu also includes Hawaiian-inspired options like garlic shrimp and mochiko chicken (chicken marinated in a mixture of mochiko, sweet rice flour, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger.), offering a taste of the tropics!
And speaking of Hawaii, there's the delicious fried donut, malasada! This sweet treat features dough that is fried to order and then filled with vanilla ice cream. Only six malasadas are available each day, so it's first-come, first-served! You can choose from ice cream flavors like caramel melt nuts, mango specialty, and crumble berries. You can also enjoy the malasada on its own.
Almost all items in the store are available for takeout, making it a great option for enjoying a meal while looking out at the ocean!

We spoke with Suzuki, the owner of "Grateful's HUT PARK Mochimune"
What prompted you to open a shop in Mochimune?
"I wanted to run a business in a place with an ocean view, and while searching all over from Lake Hamana to Izu, I found Mochimune. It was an immediate decision!"
Are the menus the same as other Grateful's locations?
"The menu is basically the same as at other locations, but each shop has its own local burger. The
Mochimune
location is new and doesn't have one yet, but I plan to introduce a local burger featuring ingredients like
shirasu (whitebait) from Mochimune or natural yam from Mariko."
Grateful's' burgers are quite substantial. The best way to eat them is to use the special burger bag they
provide. You can place the burger, skewer still in, into the bag, remove the skewer, and gently squish it to
make it easier to take a big bite.
Once you take a bite of Grateful's' burgers, you'll be hooked! Enjoy these delicious burgers in a relaxed setting by the sea, where you can eat without worrying about others watching.
Additionally, the shop sells handmade accessories crafted by the diving shop "Umikujira" in the owner's hometown of Fukuroi City. Be sure to check out these original tropical-themed accessories!
